Stop Display
The introduction of HDR cameras on the market adds to the difficulty to measure images and this is particularly the case if an operator has to adjust a mix of SDR and HDR cameras. Moving from one to the other, it will be extremely difficult for him to align the white levels similarly on the two types of cameras.
The trick of the Stop display is that the waveform is no longer linear in millivolt, but logarithmic by setting the 0 (corresponding to the 80% white level) in the center of the screen, and that that scale will work for SDR or HDR cameras.
