But they have not really worked about interconnection and interoperability: How for instance to know what is in a system or how to simply connect a camera to a monitor in this environment ? Facing this context, AMWA has created an open working group named NMOS to work on these subjects. The first published specification (IS-04) enables applications to discover networked resources, which is an important first step towards automation and scalability.
